Reclaim Your Temple

Something has changed in the last nine months and I am expanding to help women reclaim their temple. For eight years, I have been teaching and preaching skills and tools to lose weight to help honor your temple. God is calling me to grow and like clothes that no longer fit. It’s time for me to change.

Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death,and of faith in God,

Hebrews 6:1

Not coincidentally for the last nine months the Lord has been preparing me to birth something new. He has brought me into a space of trauma care. If you’re an adult living in this fallen world you bear the burden of trauma. Many of you know how to lose weight. If you have graduated from Bible and Bootcamps you know exactly what to do. Yet, you’re not doing it, Why?

Your unbelief.

Just like the man with the demon-possessed boy. You want to believe but you need Jesus to help you with your unbelief.

“You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”

20 So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”

“From childhood,” he answered. 22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”

23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

Mark 9:19-24

Belief Changing Course

That is where I’m going. The Lord has been preparing me to help women reclaim their temple. To overcome their trauma, metabolize their pain reclaim their rightful identity in Christ that was stolen by the enemy.

And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

Genesis 3:11

“Who told you that?”

Who brought you to shame?

Who told you that you can’t live a lifestyle that honors your temple?

Who lied to you many years ago, and it’s holding you back from living and sustaining a healthy lifestyle?

You know what to do. You know how to do it. But you’re not doing it. You’ve adopted coping skills that no longer serve you. You have hidden with fig leaves and the Lord wants to provide you with garments of skin.

Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Gen 3:13

The serpent has deceived you. Taking you from seasons of obsession or neglect to distract you. Sis, it’s time to get free, and live free so you can live whole and walk in unashamed in your purpose.

4- Week Reclaim your temple

The last few weeks, I’ve been quiet because I’ve been in labor and now delivery. Just like 8 years ago, the Holy Spirit inspired the Bible and Bootcamps. I have now been given a new creation.

See, I adoing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 43:19

Reclaim your Temple is a 4-Week Behavior Change course. Together we will walk through the trauma that has caused you to be deceived in your identity and faulty belief formation. Recounting rigid rules we have been living based on deceptive beliefs and cultivating new beliefs. Actively performing the work to create alternatives that serve you. We take this deep work and create new rules and new coping strategies. Then we apply these rules and strategies so we can live wise and free.

 “It’s not about goals, it’s about systems.

–         The way to change outcomes is to focus on identity changes; so it’s not about eating less, or eating more healthy, as a behavior—but rather that you are now the type of person who eats better.

–         Habits are the compound interest of improvement, and that works in both directions. If you owe it, it digs you a grave, and if it’s accruing for you, you’re doing well.

–         The four laws of behavior change are: make it obvious, make it attractive, make it easy, and make it satisfying.

–         The trick isn’t to have unbelievable willpower; the trick is to craft an environment where it’s easier to make the right choices, and that’s part of the system.

You don’t rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems.

How does a behavior change course; work?

In tandem with mindfulness, biblical meditation, and deep relaxation techniques that have been proven for over 40 years to produce sustainable changes. Together we create a personalized integrative movement plan, nutritional empowerment, and continuous learning and growth in community engagement, cultivating core beliefs to set the foundations for a sustainable lifestyle change through an accessible and inclusive service.

  • Mindfulness & Biblical Meditation: Offering guidance and tools for practicing mindfulness and biblical meditation- meaning we don’t meditate on the state within. We meditate on the truth and supernatural power of God’s Word. We are not focusing inward but focusing upwards on a transfiguring Jesus the only thing that can make lasting change. The goal is not self-actualization. The goal is to surrender to Jesus completely with all your heart and mind. This could include meditation classes, Mindful mobility sessions, and mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques.
  • Nutritional empowerment: providing resources and education to empower individuals to make informed choices about their nutrition. This might involve workshops, cooking classes, and access to nutritious, whole foods.
  • Continuous learning and growth: Providing opportunities for continuous learning and growth, to offer this resource to others.
  • Community engagement: Creating a supportive and inclusive community where individuals can connect, share experiences, and support each other in their wellness journeys. This is fostered through your support group.
  • Cultivating Core Beliefs: Encouraging individuals to understand their bodies, minds, and spirits better. This will involve 4 weekly, workshops and reflection exercises aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of one’s own health and well-being.
