De Bolton | Faith-Centered Holistic Health Practitioner & Yoga Therapist
De Bolton is a Black faith-centered holistic health practitioner and yoga therapist who helps women reconnect with their bodies in a way that honors God rather than fighting themselves.
In August 2015, I reached a breaking point. I was 105 pounds overweight, a mother of three, and deeply tired, tired of wishing, tired of waiting, and tired of living on the sidelines of my own life. Everything began to shift when I stopped scrolling and hoping for change and started living out loud, no longer holding myself back.
Opportunities I never imagined for myself began to unfold. But the most meaningful change happened beneath the surface. True transformation didn’t start with my body. It began with my surrender to God.
I had to put in the extra credit.
I had to choose the uncomfortable.
I had to become the woman who showed up with integrity, even when no one was watching.
It wasn’t easy or glamorous, but it was possible. I learned that when I released my excuses, I found my strength. When I stopped living for convenience and started living with purpose, motivation followed. Resting in comfort, I discovered, is a poor excuse for neglecting the sacred responsibility of honoring the body God entrusted to me.

Since 2016
I was a stay-at-home mom for over 12 years. When I started my fitness journey, I never imagined where it would take me. I just wanted to be skinny. One day, my own desires evolved into an ambition to help others. I fell in love with living a healthy lifestyle and sharing fitness and wellness. In April 2016, I went back to school to get my Fitness & Exercise Science Degree.
I am a faith-rooted teacher, coach, author, and guide who helps women reconnect with their bodies in a way that honors God instead of fighting themselves.
My work sits at the intersection of Scripture, neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and movement. Not as trends, but as tools for healing and discipleship.
I don’t lead from theory. I teach from lived experience, deep study, and years of walking with women who are tired of forcing their way through obedience, wellness, or faith. My presence has been described as both grounding and invitational. I am someone who can hold grief and truth at the same time.
What sets me apart is that I don’t rush women to “fix” themselves.
I help them listen, integrate, and become whole, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In a way that stays firmly Christ-centered and within wise boundaries.
People often come to me burned out, disconnected, or stuck in shame cycles around food, movement, emotions, or calling. They leave with language for what they’ve been carrying, practical embodied tools, and a deeper confidence in who God says they are, not just what they should do.
I build spaces that are safe but not soft, compassionate but not permissive, and deeply reverent without being heavy. Whether in my teaching, coaching, writing, or leading groups, my through-line is the same:
You are not broken. You are the Beloved. And healing doesn’t require abandoning your body. It begins by returning to it with God.

The Embodied Beloved
In June 2025, I published The Embodied Beloved, a book born from my own story, deep study, and years of walking alongside women who love God yet feel disconnected from their bodies.
This book is an invitation to move from striving to surrender, from body battle to body blessing, and from shame-based wellness into whole-person healing rooted in Christ. In its pages, I weave together Scripture, neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and embodied practices to help women renew their minds, honor their bodies, and live from their true identity, not performance.
The Embodied Beloved reflects the heart of my work. I don’t believe healing requires abandoning your body or pushing harder. I believe it begins by listening, with God, integrating what you’ve been carrying, and allowing compassion and truth to settle not just in your thoughts, but in your nervous system and lived experience. This message flows through everything I teach, coach, write, and lead:
You are not broken. You are the Beloved. And healing doesn’t require abandoning your body. It begins by returning to it with God.
My work has been featured in national wellness publications including Medium.com, Active.com, The Healthy, Women’s Health Magazine, Byrdie, Reader’s Digest, Refinery29, and Oxygen.
