Honor Your Temple Prayer Challenge Day 23

Today’s prayer: Remembers God’s Love.

Ephesians 5:29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,

When I am asked who do I love? I can list off my husband, my children, my mom, my grandparents and so on. I never start with myself. Not that I don’t love myself. I am on that list somewhere, probably closer to the bottom, at least I was. The more that I go on this journey, the more I explore my inner temple I realize that I need to love myself more.

One day it occurred to me I need to love myself as God loves me like God wants us to love others. We wouldn’t be able to experience this life if it wasn’t for God’s love and sacrifice for us. God loves and accepts us the way we are, but He loves us too much to let us stay this way.

1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

We have to change and become what He put us here to be. We have to do better for ourselves just as we would do for other people. Taking care of the gift that God gave us and glorified Him through our temple. We are so willing to do better for others than we do for ourselves without a second thought. Let’s honor our temple for God.

He loves us and wants far greater than we can even imagine but gives us the will to make the decision on our own. We have all the tools but if we don’t use them. You have the ability to eat better, do fitness better, educate your mind better and feed your soul better. What is stopping you? Your lack of love for yourself? If that is the case, then remember God’s love for you and do it with Him. In your prayer time today, remember God’s love for us and love yourself as God loves you. Let that motivate you to honor your temple and make the best decisions for yourself.

A great message De. Self love is not selfish. It is the only way to self care and a lesson many women learn so late in life!

Thank you and something I am trying to practice and show my women in training, how to do it correctly.

Thank you for this beautiful reminder! It does seem we end up putting ourselves near the bottom of the list most days. Blessings from #BloggerCareGroup 🙂

What beautiful thoughts for me to start my day, reading this post. Such privilege we have to be called His children. I hope we always remember. I hope I remember. I tend to forget these beautiful truths. Thank you. 🙂 #BloggerCareGroup
