Honor Our Temple Prayer Challenge Day 22
Today’s Prayer: Give me supportive people in my circle of influence.
Proverbs 13:20 Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffer harm.
This Honor, Your Temple prayer journey, is almost over, and we need to pull out all of our resources and tools to finish strong. The people in our life matter and we need to ask God to choose the right one for us. About a year ago, I had to make some change. I had to have my outside reflect my inside and get rid of people who didn’t fit. Here I am again making changes but this time for my desire to be in the best spiritual and physical shape of my life. Again, I need to surround myself with those like-minded people..
Put into Practice
Back in September, FaithFueledMom had our monthly Diva Night, which we usually get together and have some Mommy Time with crafting, cooking, and fellowship a chance to unwind. It’s always a Potluck and being the group of women we are it always ends up to be a theme.
In September, we were welcoming fall with Chili, cornbread, pumpkin pie, cookies- you get where I am going? The women were so encouraging. I was doing a 30 day cleanse, and I couldn’t eat anything except, the Chili and unsweetened tea were on my list of things that I can’t eat. I had prayed all day that I would have the self-control not to have a setback half way through my 30 days. I had a very stressful week that week and all of those comfort foods would have been just what I needed.
Victory with my Crew
The women wouldn’t let me eat it, although they were not cleansing they still encouraged me to stick with it and have my chili, water, and unsweetened tea. Not only did it make me feel better that these women had been brought into my life. It also helped me with my determination to finish strong. God had placed these women in my life for a reason to support me no matter what. So, needless to say, I did not indulge.
Might be an unmatched fit
You don’t have to have people exactly like you in your life or go through what you are going through. If that were the case, we wouldn’t learn and grow from each other. You do have to surround yourselves with those who will support you.
