Devotion and Detox Day 10- Empathy

Day 3

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16

Prayer: Lord, Help me to remember Jesus empathizes with our temptations.

We all know that Jesus walked this earth, was tempted and claimed victory over temptation. Then so that we would have redemption for our sins. Jesus knows what we’re going through; He wants to meet us where we are and walk with us through anything. Even through our detoxing from sugar. I think people find that there is no problem too big for Jesus to solve but they are apprehensive on the little ones.

He wants them all big, in between and small. He wants us to depend on Him for our strength. He wants us to seek His guidance in ALL that we do. He seeks to do this life with us. Each and every one of us and unlike us when we fail when we wear too many hats; Jesus CAN be there for each and every one of our individual big or small needs.

God led you to realize that you have a dependence on sugar. God led you to pray and detox for 21 days, and God will continue to carry you through this process. The next two days are usually when people quit. They’ve gone as far as they can giving part of it to God and they can no longer do it on their strength.

Now is the time you need to seek God, trust God and be grateful He has brought you this far and will deliver you to the end.

He understands us, you’re right! There is nothing we will go through that He isn’t familiar with.
