Today’s Honor Your Temple prayer is: Let us pray to remember, I honor and glorify God first and foremost on my health journey.

Our temple is our bodies, not just our bellies, bottoms, arms, and legs. It’s the entire structure our hearts, mind, spirit, and body.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says, Do you not know that whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.

I think when we try to do things ourselves without God we either fail or make it unnecessarily harder. During the challenge keep in mind that we are not focusing on the outside but the inside. Day 11

This week is not over and let me tell you it has been a real test of my dedication to this process. I did a Sugar Detox on January 4, and I had a huge breakthrough. I’ve been feeling excellent about my progress being diligent on my nutrition I fit into some smaller size jeans, and I am 2 sizes away from my goal, but then I did the unthinkable. I got on the scale; I had to for my trainer. For me, that is a weakness and for many others too. When I lost 105 lbs, four years ago I got rid of my scale, I used NSV (NonScale Victories) to measure my success. The scale has always been an issue.

Finding a better way

Behind every picture is a story; We all know that and looking at the last few years of my life pictures I definitely have one to tell.  August 1, I woke up and decided that I had enough with my current health. I was eating well enough, but I still was over indulging on sugar, my portions were ridiculous and using my boredom as an excuse to nibble on snacks.  I didn’t feel content in the body I was in, it didn’t match the image in my head.
