7+ Fit Date Ideas for Couple’s

Love is in the air well at least that’s what the commercial said yesterday. Valentine’s isn’t our thing! Yes, we think love should be celebrated everyday.  Just like most holiday’s I appreciate the fact that there has been a National Holiday to remind people to show the one they love some extra special attention.

We’re not big on giving gifts to each other. I love cut flowers, but I have an expensive habit of buying those weekly when I go to the produce stand. I am not a big chocolate lover and hanging out with all of the couples’ of South Jersey at dinner is not my idea of romance. My husband is my best friend, and I feel like life is too short to celebrate our love with dinner and a movie. I want to make memories! I much rather invest in moments than physical gifts...

How my family went clean

clean-eat

It was like I was in a Movie….

The most amazing thing happened the other night at dinner my kids fought over the last brussel sprout did you read that correctly my kids fought over the last brussels sprout. Two years ago that would have never been the case. After a long road, my girls try new things every other week willingly. They look forward to baking new goodies to try and have mostly adopted a healthy lifestyle. Don’t get me wrong they’ll still welcome without hesitation a Happy Meal but from a recovering drive thru junkie family. Always driving around. Going places and never enjoying what was in front of them.

Got to make some changes….

About two and a half years ago I decided to try to change our processed food lifestyle into a “clean eats” lifestyle...

5 Habits Mom’s do to derail progress

mistake

I made a delicious, nutritious, and fat loss friendly meal for breakfast. Nothing extravagant Apple Chai (Sugar Free) Oatmeal and Hard boiled Eggs.  Something very simple after an intense workout. Ate my serving, that was measured out and a perfect portion, then I did the unthinkable. A habit that I have had since my lil diva’s started eating table food. I am usually mindful but you know how things go, sometimes you slip back into old habits. So, what did I do that is so heinous? As I am clearing the table, I…..yes, I did it. I scarfed down the leftover food from my littlest diva’s plate. (The horror-insert scared emoji here) I went from being completely satisfied with my meal, portion, and calories being in a healthy range...

My Must Haves of 2017

Just a few Must Haves for the New Year

So, you’ve got your planner packed in your meal planning bag as you just strapped on your fitness tracker and ready to tackle your day with your new protein shaker (with protein in it) and 64 ounce water bottle to wash down your salad and chicken breast that you’re going to devour because it’s the New Year and you’re ready for this New You to emerge in the next two weeks, right? It has come the time of year that I love the enthusiasm and energy of people making a really effort to stick to their resolutions but I think people miss the mark and don’t adequately prepare...

11th day of FaithFueled Fitmas

Day 11

For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, Ephesians 2:14

Yesterday, we talked about the anticipation of Immanuel, Our Savior to be born. What does it mean for Christ to be born? Since we already have seen the effects of his birth, this is not a trick question but mostly a question to insight, “Why are we celebrating Christmas?” I think modern day society we take the conveniences of life for granted. Often taking and never considering how it was given to us and why. Salvation is often taken for granted which I feel disappointing. We were given salvation through the birth and death of Christ and too often once we accept Christ we feel like that is a confirmation of our place in eternity...

12th Day of Fitmas

The Christmas Season is in full swing and despite my efforts to have a stress free, merry holiday I find myself getting caught up in the wrong reasons for this Holiday Cheer.  In the last few weeks, I have seen “12 Days of Fitmas Challenges” popping up all over my social media.  Never did I see anyone address the reason for the season. Now, I know with the various beliefs not everyone is celebrating the Holiday Season for the birth of Christ but this girl is and I couldn’t think of anything better than taking care of our temples at the same time. Carving out 30 minutes a day to reflect on God’s word to anticipate the birth of Christ and relieve some stress through a 15 minute physical activity.  That’s something that I couldn’t find, so, I made my own!

For the next 12 days we will b...

Another Fun Saturday

A few weekends ago, I was blessed to Dance, Exercise and Have fun for a good cause!  I love to dance! Before I recommitted to Christ, you could easily find a girlfriend and me at the club till it shut down, dancing like it was our job. I don’t mean on the pole, though; we just loved to dance. I’m not sure if it’s a Jersey Girl thing but pounding the floor in high heels is what we do around her Friday, Saturday night. I found something that takes you me back to my club days but in a healthier way that honors my temple.

Last weekend, I was invited my Fit On Purpose to attend their KerBOOMKa for Breast Cancer Event with Fierce Fitness by Tru Adams who you all know that I adore. I was fortunate to experience the creator of the Jillian Michaels Sweat Inc. TV Show p...

Cleaning Up my Skincare

Alright, now that I know what is wrong with my stomach and I know how to fix it I have been on a mission to have clear skin the natural way. I don’t need a mask, treatment anything I want to improve my skin without Toxic Chemicals. My diet alone has made a vast improvement. Living a wheat free, mostly dairy free (I still love Cheese and Vegan Cheese doesn’t have the variety for my passion for yummy gourmet cheese and I need to detox, seriously). Wasn’t it till I had watched a documentary on Whats up with wheat?  It was eye opening, and I suggest that you check it out if you are wondering why this Gluten-Intolerance, Wheat Allergy is becoming an epidemic.

Wheat effecting my skin too

I learned a lot about digestion and gut health but what shocked me was that we pro...
